The Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics Division of the European Physical Society was established to provide coordination and exchange of information within the European atomic, molecular, and optical physics community.
The main activity of the division is to organize and co-host conferences. These range from small workshops and study groups to large international scale conferences. The major conference of the AMPOD division is the tri annual ECAMP conference series which started in 1982.
